This was not the drink I was going to make today. But then I decided that I wanted to have wings for dinner, and so I needed something that would go good with wings. Normally, I just grab a beer, but since that’s not a very good quarantini, I had to find something.
And that is when I found the All American. I couldn’t find any story behind this drink, so I’m just going to assume that it’s because the ingredients are all quintessentially American.
This drink is as American as this bald eagle
All American
1 oz. Bourbon
1 oz. Southern Comfort
2 oz. Coca Cola
Pour over ice in a lowball glass.
I was worried that the Southern Comfort would make it too sweet, but the bourbon mellows it out and creates a good balance.
