I love the Grayhound cocktail because it is so simple. Just two ingredients!
The story of this cocktail is that it started being made around 1930, but since gin was the alcohol of choice in those days, it was made with gin, and just called a grapefruit cocktail. Then in 1945, Harper’s Magazine printed a vodka based recipe, and called it a Greyhound after the popular restaurant that was located at bus terminals. You can read more about it here.
Greyhound:
2 oz. vodka
4 oz. grapefruit juice (I used fresh-squeezed, but feel free to use bottled if you want)
Pour vodka and grapefruit juice over ice. Stir. If you wish, you can garnish with a twist of lemon or grapefruit peel.
