Time to take a trip back to October 1977…probably the same type of day…colder weather, autumn leaves turning their beautiful colors soon to fall for the music of Queen’s follow up to their 1976 album Day At The Races with an album that gave us one of rock music’s quintessential rock anthems: WE WILL ROCK YOU!!! Queen dropped News Of The World on the 28th of October in 1977 and again proved to us they were on top of rock royalty once again. So we all ran down to the record store to grab a copy and dropped $5.95 plus tax and played that album until we had to buy another copy right? (Or…record it on cassette) Queen toured in support of News Of The World playing 26 shows in North America in four months in one of the most imaginative stage productions for that time. Today we may look back and remember that album and to bring back how many times we heard We Will Rock You at events we attended along the way.
