Class…School’s Out …for fifty years?  Can’t believe we’re celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out!”  Released in the summer of 1972, “School’s Out” was the follow up to 1971’s “Killer” album that featured one of the most iconic anthems of ending the school year.  Remember waiting that last minute of class before summer recess? Sometime it seemed like an eternity but it came…running through the schoolyard singing “School’s Out” with your friends…Hmmm…just a thought…maybe a few teachers felt the same way? “School’s Out” was Alice Cooper’s fifth studio album and features the iconic album cover of a school desk filled with various forms of graffiti including those of the five members of Alice Cooper’s band. “School’s Out” was the  only single released from the album that featured nine songs from the band.  Personally, every summer I seem to sing a few bars from that song even though the memories of summer recess have been something we can dream about as we watch our kids enjoying their summer once again.  Catch Old Black Eyes on his 2022 tour coming to a city near you!
