It’s one of most iconic – maybe THE most iconic – rock album ever made, and it just turned 50. On March 1st, 1973, Pink Floyd released their masterpiece The Dark Side Of The Moon.
It would eventually become the 4th-highest-selling album of all time, with over 24.8 million copies sold. It’s also the highest-selling album ever by a British band – including the Beatles!
But Dark Side‘s most impressive accomplishment is its longevity – later this year, it will reach 1,000 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Charts.
