Talking Heads Turned Down Reunion Offer

By Greg Feb 1, 2024 | 9:29 AM

A new report is claiming that Coachella and Live Nation both failed to secure a Talking Heads reunion. Billboard published the report yesterday, detailing the attempts made by Paul Tollett, the president of Coachella organizer Goldenvoice, to arrange reunion appearances by defunct bands for the festival’s 2024 edition.

Tollett reportedly intended to make an offer to Talking Heads for a Coachella appearance, but “sensed there were no shows happening, so [he] didn’t.” The report went on to reveal that tour promoters Live Nation also approached the band and offered them $80 million for six to eight festival appearances, which the band rejected.
