Ted Nugent is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his iconic rock anthem “Stranglehold” with exclusive “SpeakEzy Rockout” gigs in Michigan and Texas. Nugent and his band are known for their ferocious soundtrack of freedom, attitude, and spirit, with Nugent describing performing as a “joyous musical celebration beyond words.”
Nugent recently completed his “Adios Mofo ’23” farewell tour and spoke about his decision to stop touring extensively due to his dislike of hotels and travel. Nugent clarified that he is not retiring from playing live music and will continue to collaborate with musicians, stating that the music still has fire and he plays his guitar every day.
Nugent’s self-titled debut album in 1975 was certified double platinum, and he has sold over 40 million albums.
