Happy National Radio Day, everyone!

For me, getting into radio was a no-brainer. It was something I just had to do. It all started with my love for rock and roll. I mean, who doesn’t remember those moments glued to the radio, discovering new bands and having your mind blown? That’s exactly how it was for me, and I just knew I wanted to be a part of bringing that feeling to others.

And here we are, almost 30 years later, and I’m still lucky enough to be that voice on the airwaves. In that time, I’ve seen it all – from the days of spinning actual vinyl and CDs to now navigating digital playlists. I’ve been there for countless classic rock countdowns, broken the news on legendary album releases, and unfortunately, the passing of legends. And I’ve probably played “Stairway to Heaven” more times than I can count! Seriously though, it’s been an incredible journey.

The best part about being on your radio, hands down, is the connection I get to make with you, the audience. We share that same passion, that same love for the power chords, the epic solos, and the stories behind the songs. It’s like we’re all in this big, amazing rock and roll club together.

Of course, radio has changed a LOT in the last 30 years. Technology has transformed how we broadcast, how you listen, and even how we interact. But through all those shifts and innovations, there’s been one constant, one thing that hasn’t changed much: your friend behind the microphone. It’s still me, bringing you the music you love, sharing stories, and hopefully, making your day a little bit better, one kick-ass rock song at a time…

So, on this National Radio Day, crank up WGLX and let’s rock.
