Spinal Tap made its first late-night television appearance in more than 15 years on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” with Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins, and Derek Smalls joined by director Marty DiBergi for an in-character interview and performance. The band discussed various topics including their new album, the famous guests appearing on it, their songwriting process, and the desire for knighthood.
Spinal Taps’s last late-night appearances were in 2009, and they have a history of performing on shows like “The Tonight Show” and “Saturday Night Live.” Spinal Tap II: The End Continues will be released alongside a new album featuring re-recorded classics and new songs with guests like Elton John and Paul McCartney.
