Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready has developed a graphic novel and rock opera called Farewell to Seasons, set in the Seattle grunge scene of the early 1990s.
McCready collaborated with writer Mark Sable and illustrator Sebastian Piraz to create an unflinching depiction of the era, blending magical realism with the characters’ struggles and triumphs.

In a statement announcing the project, McCready said “There will also be a ‘lost’ rock opera connected to the story, featuring original music written from the perspective of David Williams, one of the main characters.”
Farewell to Seasons is available for pre-order and will be widely released on October 7.
