U2 dropped another surprise EP on Friday, their second of 2026.
The six-song Easter Lily includes the tracks “Song for Hal,” “In a Life,” “Scars,” “Resurrection Song,” “Easter Parade,” and “COEXIST (I Will Bless The Lord At All Times?) – ft. a new soundscape by Brian Eno.”
The band’s frontman, Bono, describes the EP as a reflection on personal relationships and faith in challenging times. The tracks on Easter Lily include a tribute to producer Hal Wilner, and the songs explore themes of friendship, faith, renewal, and the impact of algorithms on meaning and religion. It’s a follow-up to February’s Days of Ash, which the band released on Ash Wednesday.
Bono reassured fans that a new album is still in the works and that the EPs are side detours on the way to a separate full-length album.
