A new list from Consequence has ranked The Beatles as the No. 1 greatest band of all time! Consequence enlisted more than 70 artists to help determine the 100 groups that changed music, shaped culture, and inspired generations.

Black Sabbath, The Velvet Underground, Miles Davis’ Second Great Quintet, and Radiohead rounded out the top five. The Rolling Stones, The Clash, Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, and Led Zeppelin finished out the Top 10.

And a lot of great musicians agree that The Beatles should top the list:

KISS frontman Paul Stanley praised The Beatles, stating, “The bar that they set, I don’t think anybody else in that genre can reach.” Taking Back Sunday bassist Shaun Cooper highlighted the depth of The Beatles’ music and called Paul McCartney “the greatest bass player of all time.” Kenny Loggins cited Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and the talent in the band as reasons for placing The Beatles at the top of the list. Greta Van Fleet drummer Danny Wagner emphasized The Beatles’ pervasive influence on modern musicians, stating, “Every artist who’s become an artist in the modern day is an artist because of The Beatles, whether they know it or not.”
